Anyway...so we have obviously gotten our first snowfall in Salt Lake City! I was SO excited when I woke up this morning. I woke up at about 8 and it was still pretty dark outside. I came up the stairs to a full view of the backyard out the kitchen windows. Gorgeous glowing snow had fallen overnight and was still falling in huge flakes everywhere! I was seriously giddy. I skipped over to the cupboard and made myself some hot apple cinnamon oatmeal and settled down at the table in the dim light to watch the snow fall while I ate breakfast. I just couldn't stop smiling! After breakfast I got my camera and boots and ventured out in my pajamas to take pictures. After I came back inside, I turned on the Christmas music and was just having a lovely time. THEN my roommate came upstairs and said, "oh yuck!" as she surveyed the snow accumulation. My roommates, co-workers, and friends have been dampening my snow excitement for a couple of days as I anticipated this storm. DANG IT! Shortly thereafter I got a text from my friend Ryan that said "Waffles, hot chockit, whipped cream?" (Chockit is chocolate, in case you missed that.) Finally! I had someone to enjoy the snow with! So I got dressed quickly and ran out the door, laughing as I ran into the beautiful snow. (I was either laughing because I love the snow so much and was really excited, or because I'm such a dork and that is very laughable.) I'm so glad that I went to Ryan and Kara's. I had a chocolate chip waffle and raspberry hot chocolate and laughed and played with Sammy, who kept saying "snow! play in the snow!" What a wonderful time! Oh happy is the day that is covered in a white blanket of magical snow. :-) (Laugh at me all you want, I like being a dork!)
